When was Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary founded?
Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary was founded on November 7, 2008 by Nancy B. Sayle.
What kind of animals does Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary take?
From cancer, CH, blind, deaf, neurological, chronic illness to physical, we take all that come to us – based on sanctuary capacity. We are also one of the only facilities that has a dedicated leukemia room.
How much money, in a month, does it take to run Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary?
It takes approximately $10,000/month to operate Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary. We can’t do it without your help!
If Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary had more funding from donors would it do more to help the animals?
Yes, absolutely! Like you, we love animals and want to make sure that they are taken care of. We currently have the Pawfect Property Fund which has a goal of $1,200,000. When that goal is met we will be growing our capacity with the purchase of a 2-3 acre sanctuary property.
What is the Pawfect Property Fund? And how can I get involved?
From the time that Nancy B. Sayle established Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary her goal was always to do more for the animals she loves.
Recently this goal has become much more attainable. The sanctuary has identified a 2-3 acre property that would better serve the animals and staff.
That is why we established the Pawfect Property Fund which has a goal of $1,200,000. When that goal is met we will be growing our capacity with the purchase of a 2-3 acre sanctuary property.
What areas do you serve?
We are located in Chatsworth, CA but we serve the greater LA community. We are currently operating close to capacity which is why we have created the Pawfect Property Fund. Once funded we will expand by purchasing a 2-3 acre sanctuary that can house even more deserving animals.
